SIG Cyber Team Supports Ride to End Alzheimers

In a remarkable show of support towards a vital cause, members of the SIG Cyber team participated in the Ride to End Alzheimer’s event from July 11 to 13. The dedicated group, aptly named the Neural Navigators, set out to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research, a disease that profoundly impacts millions of families across the United States.

Their efforts proved to be highly successful, as they raised nearly $20,000 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, contributing to the overall $1.4 million raised for this event. This organization plays a crucial role in funding research initiatives aimed at better understanding, treating, and ultimately curing the disease, which is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S., affecting nearly 7 million Americans.

The ride was not only a test of physical endurance but also a testament to the power of community and commitment to social responsibility. Among the participants were SIG Cyber team members Brian Kirk, Matt Miller, JR Johnson, and Sebastian Strevens, who all showcased their resilience and determination throughout the event.

In addition to the riders, Gabe Tocci lent his support by volunteering his time during the race. His contribution exemplified the spirit of teamwork and solidarity that defines the mission of the Neural Navigators.

“We are incredibly proud of the team’s effort and the amount they were able to raise for such an important cause,” said Brian Kirk, a member of the Neural Navigators. “Alzheimer’s has a far-reaching impact, not just on those directly affected, but also on their families and the greater community. It’s important that we come together to support research and find solutions.”

The Ride to End Alzheimer’s aims to raise funds and increase public awareness about the challenges faced by individuals and families living with this debilitating illness. Each mile ridden represents a step toward progress and potential breakthroughs in treatment and care.

With the Neural Navigators leading the charge, SIG is committed to advocating for change and supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. As the team reflects on their journey, they encourage others to join the cause and contribute in any way possible, whether through participation, volunteering, or donations.
