Integrations
Connect your systems so your data flows where it needs to go.
Your campus runs on dozens of systems — your ERP, CRM, LMS, financial aid processors, payment gateways, document management tools, and more. When those systems don’t talk to each other reliably, the consequences show up everywhere: duplicate data entry, broken workflows, reconciliation headaches, and staff spending hours on tasks that should be automatic.
As institutions add new tools, migrate to SaaS, and modernize their technology landscape, the integration layer becomes more critical — and more complex — than ever.
SIG has been inside these systems since 1988. We know Banner and Colleague at the functional level, which means we understand both sides of every connection we build.
How we help
We offer two core integration services that can be engaged independently or as a natural sequence:
Integration Assessment & Mapping for Ellucian Environments
Before you build or fix anything, you need a clear picture of what you have. A SIG integration assessment maps your full Ellucian environment: every active integration, custom job, and data feed in and out of Banner or Colleague. We document what exists, flag what's at risk, and deliver a prioritized roadmap for remediation or migration.
Ellucian Integration Implementation: Banner, Colleague, & 3rd-Party Systems
Once you know what needs to be built, rebuilt, or replaced, SIG’s technical team handles the implementation.
We build Ethos API connections where Ethos is the right tool, custom API development where it isn't, and conduct full testing before anything touches production. If you're heading into a Banner SaaS or Colleague SaaS migration, your existing integrations need to be re-evaluated first — custom code that worked on premise may not survive the move.
We design, develop, and deploy integrations between your Ellucian ERP and the third-party systems your campus depends on — from financial aid servicers and payment processors to LMS platforms, document management systems, CRM, and beyond.
Integration Systems We Connect
SIG connects Ellucian Banner and Colleague environments to the tools higher education institutions run on:
- Analytics & Reporting: Cognos, Argos, Ellucian Insights, Snowflake
- CRM: Salesforce (Education Cloud), Slate, Microsoft Dynamics
- Document Management: Hyland OnBase, Softdocs, Perceptive Content
- ERP/SIS: Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague
- Financial Aid & Payment: COD, NSDLS, Touchnet, Transact, CashNet
- Identity & SSO: Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, Shibboleth
- Integration Middleware: Ellucian Ethos, MuleSoft
Why Higher Ed Institutions Choose SIG for Integration Work
Integration work is only as good as the team’s understanding of the systems on both sides of the connection. SIG’s consultants don’t just know APIs and middleware — they know how Banner, Colleague, Slate SFDC, and relevant 3rd party systems work at the functional level. Because they've worked in higher ed, they know how data moves through financial aid, student accounts, HR, and admissions. And they know what happens downstream when an integration breaks.
That combination of technical skill and higher ed domain knowledge matters when an SaaS migration custom code needs to be rebuilt or when a Banner-to-Salesforce bidirectional sync has data mapping issues.
SIG offers fewer surprises, faster delivery, and integrations that hold up in production.
Need to connect, migrate, or untangle your integrations?
Every day is a chance to dismantle the status quo.
I almost look at SIG as our safety net. We have Ellucian implementing the software, we have our Broward team, but then we have SIG. If we’re going to stumble or fall, SIG is going to be there to help pick us up—because they’re in it with us for the long haul.
